I volti della gente in India ti colpiscono dritto al cuore,e bum! Non riesci piùa dimenticare quegli occhi e quei sorrisi che ammorbidiscono anche il cittadino milanese più imbruttito :)
E poi ovviamente ci sono i colori ed una luce che rende tutto magico e fortissimo. Il Ladakh è un'India atipica, un luogo brullo sulla catena Himalayana a più di 3.000 metri di altitudine. La capitale Leh è a 3.500 metri e per abituarsi il corpo impiega giorni, per cui prima di iniziare a fare trekking è consigliato riposare a Leh e fare i turisti.
Io sono arrivata a settembre, durante il festival di Hemis che si svolge ogni anno,ma ogni 12 anni è molto speciale, ed il 2016 è stato uno di quegli anni.
La popolazione è prevalentemente buddista e l'atmosfera è piuttosto rilassata e pacifica, soprattutto se confrontata con l'attivismo tipico del resto dell'India.
Un luogo che vi incanterà.

The faces of India strikes you, straight to your heart. Bum! And you cannot forget anymore those eyes and those smiles. Then, of course, the colours and the light are bold and magical.
Ladakh is not what we tipically think about, when we think about India. There's hardly any vegetation because it's on the Himalayas, at more than11,000ft. your body takes a while to get used, so you'll better relax for a couple of days (or even more).
I got there for the Hemis Festival which is held every year, but every 12 years it is very special. 2016 was one of those years.
People in Ladakh are mostly Buddist, which gives to the place a very peaceful vibe, somewhat difficult to find in other regions of India.
